On a construction drawing, the datum is the fixed reference every other measurement is taken from. Floors, walls, rooflines, cabinet heights: all of it is measured back to that one point.
If the datum is right, everything lines up. If it’s off, every trade that follows inherits the error.

Jason spent his career leading large capital construction projects, where schedules, budgets and drawings have to hold up under real conditions. He brings that same discipline to homes, along with a woodworking shop where the built-ins, cabinetry and trim are made.
Michele brings the eye for how a home is lived in: where the light falls in the morning, where the coffee goes, which room the family actually gathers in.
Having raised three kids of our own, we know a house has to work for a family: the drop zone by the garage door, the kitchen everyone ends up in, the quiet corner for homework, the room for everyone at the holidays. We design every home around how families really live.
